These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website rahaeventsagency.com and any related services offered under the Raha umbrella, including Afriness (Afro dance fitness), Raha Events, and information about Raha by Lilian (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Raha is a multi-venture lifestyle platform based in Basel, Switzerland, encompassing three business lines: Afriness (Afro dance fitness classes), Raha Events (community and cultural events, including the Black Essence Fashion Show), and Raha by Lilian (fair-trade jewelry). Each business line may be subject to additional terms specific to its offering, as described below.
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: use the Services in any way that violates applicable law; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission; or use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our consent.
Bookings for Afriness classes, coaching or meditation sessions, and Raha Events tickets may be made through the Services or via linked third-party booking tools. Cancellation, rescheduling and refund conditions for individual classes, workshops and events are stated with the respective offer or in your booking confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify classes and events at our discretion, including due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Participation in Afriness dance fitness classes, whether in a studio, park, or corporate setting, involves physical exertion and carries an inherent risk of injury. By participating, you acknowledge and agree that:
(a) you are voluntarily participating and are physically fit to do so, or have consulted a physician if you have any concerns;
(b) you assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, illness, or damage arising from your participation;
(c) to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Raha, its instructors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in a class, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Participants under 18 require the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Coaching and meditation sessions offered by Lilian are intended to support personal growth, mindset, and general well-being. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or have a medical condition, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. Raha and Lilian make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes from coaching or meditation services.
Raha by Lilian jewelry is not sold through this website. For enquiries about pieces, please contact us via Instagram. Where pieces are purchased through other channels, the terms and policies of the respective seller apply, not these Terms. Product availability, pricing, and images referenced on the Services are for informational purposes and subject to change without notice.
All content on the Services — including text, graphics, logos, images, and the Raha brand identity — is the property of Raha or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written consent.
If you submit content to us (such as testimonials, reviews, or social media tags), you grant Raha a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with promoting the Services, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites (such as Instagram or booking platforms) that are not owned or controlled by Raha. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Raha shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Swiss law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Raha, its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Basel, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Effective Date," and continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
