Who We Are

RAHA

Raha was born from Lilian's own path back to herself, and grew into a philosophy shared through movement, community, and craft.

You are worthy. You are enough. You are lovable.

Lilian Njoki

Founder of RAHA

Born in Nairobi in 1967 to a Kikuyu mother and a Luhya father, Lilian was raised largely by her grandmother, a Mau Mau-era single mother who survived by raising eight children on her own. From her, Lilian learned to heal through her own energy, to connect with nature, and to dance, quite literally: she once danced for President Jomo Kenyatta with her school group after winning every competition they entered. In 1991, Lilian moved to Switzerland, where she experienced racism for the first time and describes it as one of the hardest periods of her life, a chapter she later wrote about in her book "African Think and Grow Rich."

After her marriage ended in 2003, she raised her two daughters, Grace and Victoria, alone. A divorce and a serious car accident brought her back to the healing practices her grandmother had taught her, and from that return, she rebuilt: first an events and catering business, then fitness and dance classes, then a coaching practice. Lilian is now a mindset and relationships coach, speaker, and author of two books, working with clients on healing childhood trauma and reconnecting with life purpose, the same grounding methods her grandmother taught her, now shared as Raha.
